GOOGLE..What just happened?
So recently one of my favorite Korean Hiphop groups EPIK HIGH, just released their latest album Shoebox.
Official Album Sampler:
Anyway, after hearing the sampler I immediately wanted the album.
Unfortunately both iTunes and Amazon Music only provide music files in 256Kbps. While AAC (iTunes file format) is arguably superior to MP3's, I couldn't find any hard evidence one is superior to another. So I'd prefer the 320Kbps MP3's from Google's Play Store, since in theory--higher bit rates means more samples thus theoretically higher quality.
The point though is that I bought the album on GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC STORE.
The issue was that their song #9 Lesson 5 (Timeline) was only 47 seconds instead of the actual 3:21 duration of the song. I reported the issue to Google.
This actually took me a while to figure so I'll post a Guide here on how to report issues with songs such as this.
1.) Go to Google Play Store e.g (https://play.google.com/store?hl=en)
2.) Click the GEAR Symbol on the top right
3.) Click My Orders
4.) The page should now list all your purchased things including Albums.
5.) Mouse over an album, you should see three vertical dots and be able to click on it.
6.) You will get a pop up allowing you to choose what kind of issue you are having with the song/album.
7.) After choosing an issue type, enter in the text box of what the issue is and submit.
HOWEVER after I did this, I received an email from GOOGLE who canceled my order and refunded me my money. I no longer have Shoebox in my Google Library.
I never asked for a refund. I bought the album to SUPPORT Epik High. I felt they produced a truly amazing album. In addition to this, since they are not really mainstream and also non-english, they don't make bank compared to American music artists.
And people wonder why people like this guy below exist...
