Steelseries Mouse Wheel "Jumping"

STEELSERIES. WHAT GIVES?

Not even a year of ownership and its breaking?

FIX: Here

So I bought the Steelseries Sensei [RAW] Rubberized around the same time I ordered my CX750M and all the other components I upgrade. It is a superb mouse. I had replaced my G600 since the G600 mouse ended up being too bulky, and I disliked the logitech peripheral software. Also the G600 doesn't have the same HARD SNAP click like the Razer Deathadder that I had before the G600. As a result I would be unable to click as fast since the pop back of the mouse click was much slower. Overall I felt the Sensei Raw (which I got for about $40 off Amazon) was a much more refined product. I think rubberized peripherals should be a standard in the computer industry, rather than a perk.

Anyways I've had this mouse for what? About two months(?), and it now exhibits the same behavior that made me stop using my Deathadder (3500DPI) which I had purchased during the summer before my first year of college (3+ years ago?). When I scroll with the mouse wheel, scrolling down wards will scroll the page downwards, but will occasionally scroll upwards instead for no reason causing a stuttering like effect when reading long posts and would make me lose my position. The same issue occurs when scrolling upwards, it will occasional scroll downward instead. As someone who heavily uses the scroll wheel, this issue annoys me like no other. Even worse I read about Steelseries' RMA process. Apparently you have to ship the product ALL THE WAY TO DENMARK. Are you flipping serious? As I explained in my DEAD CX750M post, RMAing is generally out of question for me...

This issue didn't occur on my Deathadder until nearly half a decade of usage. I managed to fix the issue temporarily on the Deathadder by opening up the mouse and using a pair of pliers on the mouse wheel mechanical component (The wheel was placed between some sort of device that that squeezed the mouse wheel in place. I applied some force to squeeze it ends closer together and it fixed the issue..temporarily--it eventually came back again). Opening the mouse for both the Deathadder and Sensei require you to remove the mice feet (the bottom pads) which ultimately ruin the mouse's glide and smoothness unless you buy a new set. As a result I did not try this fix (in addition to the fact that the sensei might use a different component).

As of now I have no idea what do. Thanks a lot STEELSERIES >_>
